Material Characteristics

Wyrmwood is the most elemental resistant ore yet to be found. Unlike Mithralk it is not the most durable but most resistant metal in the four realms. Its extreme resistance to fire, electricity and other elements make it immensely valuable to warlords and monster hunters as well as those who sought to create resistance items. All of its yearly supply that can be scraped up is used to enhance armor or create talismans and magic items.
Wyrmwood has an innate connection to draconic magic, able to de-spell draconic spells, able to create new spells or even be able to transmutate one's self into a dragon if the user is proficient enough with his arcana skills.

Geology & Geography

Wyrmwood can only be obtained from the scales of dead dragons or Fossilized drakes or wyverns, the strongest type of Wyrmwood can be obtained by Wyrmwood Dragons whose scales have 3 times the sturdiness and thickness of regular dragons

Life & Expiration

Wyrmwood Roughly deteriorates and expires after 1.000 to 2.000 years of usage. With at roughly 700 years old, won Wyrmwood being considered "ripe"with the unique properties at that stage allowing for easy mending for armor or weapons
A broken down Wyrmwood item can be re-infused with its properties with the application of blood of hatchling dragon or an ancient dragons' breath fluid.

Distribution

Law & Regulation

The general Distribution law is that Wyrmwood, cannot legally be found or owned, only dragons under the service of a god can be harvested, and even then only by the servants or factions of the god or their demi-gods.
Should a mortal be found guilty of stealing and scavenging for Wyrmwood without a gods' authorization, they will considered a threat and listed as an enemy of the Province and its Realm. (Exceptions being Internius which explains its lack of draconic creatures)

Pure Wyrmwood items are extremly rare and can cause a family of dragons to hunt down a person donning it, 3 kgs of Wyrmwood are worth ~1.000 gold pieces
