The Realm of Harmonia

Harmonia, located in the southwest near the void sea, is covered in a glistening variety of sands, punctuated by oases with grass in hues of green, yellow, and pink. Larger-than-life Ished (Acacia) and Iamed (Bushwillows) trees dot the landscape, while expansive svanags stretch across the region. The cities and hubs of trade rest on rocky formations and sandy plateaus, while smaller villages are nestled within canyons or along the sandy shores. This warm and sunny land is unique, with two black suns providing warmth. At night, it rains, creating a shoreline that transitions between void sand and regular desert sand.

Ruling Dominion

Harmonia is divided into four distinct lands, each reflecting different aspects of culture, though Nefirio stands out with its unique terrains and biomes. Each land has a "twin," meaning they mirror one another and collaborate even in governance. The governance across these lands reflects a variety of systems, from syndicalism to aristocracy, uniting the realm despite its diverse foundations.

Ankhetis, Land of Gold

Ankhetis operates under anarcho-syndicalism, a system where workers manage themselves without overarching rule. Oversight comes from Bastet the Benevolent, an ancient metallic dragon. This land, home to the Northern White Sand Desert, is wealthy due to its wizards and scholars, who trade manuscripts, magical scrolls, and crafting recipes with other realms. Its military is formidable, led by a renowned wizard whose magical warriors and enchanted vehicles stand ready to defend against future conflicts, particularly from Libertas.

Khepret, Land of Silver

Khepret follows collectivism, emphasizing communal living, shared resources, and collaborative farming. This land is rich in resources, with karst landscapes, hydrothermal veins, and habitats for unique ecosystems. Overseen by Kalahari the Servant, a majestic phoenix, Khepret’s culture is closely tied to Ankhetis, relying on their military for protection. Despite potential for exploitation, the system has worked successfully for over five centuries, ensuring the land remains prosperous.

Nefirio, Land of Valor

Nefirio thrives under civic nationalism, where the rights and responsibilities of citizens take precedence over ethnic or cultural background. The land is ruled by King Khalid Amun-Tar, who ascended to power due to his love for his people, and his reign has lasted over a millennium, sparking rumors of divine intervention. Nefirio, with its perpetual oases and minimal desert coverage, is the only region with free water, making it a hub for doctors and immigrants seeking a better life. Its trade is centered on skilled craftsmen and merchants, contributing to its economic strength.

Osiram, Land of Courage

Osiram, an aristrocracy ruled by artists, creatives, and cultural leaders, is led by Maestro, a Hairfoot Bard. This land is divided into three sections: a white desert, a large oasis where most cities reside, and a monster-filled savanna. Stories are the primary currency in Osiram, where magical devices called Otamkas absorb and share personal histories, turning them into platinum-like coins. This unique trade system makes Osiram a realm of creativity and narrative, where goodwill and stories are as valuable as gold.

Terrain & Biomes

Glaide Oasis

A lush paradise beyond the desert’s edge, filled with vibrant grasses that shift from green to golden yellow and pink. The air is filled with the scent of blooming wildflowers, and crystal-clear streams wind through the landscape. Enchanted creatures thrive in this sanctuary, which stands in stark contrast to the harsh desert that surrounds it.

White Desert

A desolate, sun-scorched expanse of white sand, shimmering under relentless heat. Isolated plateaus offer brief respite in this unforgiving wasteland, standing as a barrier between the void desert and Harmonia’s fertile lands.

Stike Savanna

A vast grassland dotted with towering Ished trees and sprawling Iamed trees, casting long shadows across the plains. Rolling hills and rock plateaus punctuate the landscape, home to thriving wildlife. The interplay of sky and earth creates a majestic, untamed beauty.

Desert Canyons and Rock Mountains

Jagged rock formations and towering canyons carve through the heart of the desert. Hidden cities sit atop high, sun-baked plateaus, offering shelter from the desert storms below. This dramatic landscape stands as a testament to the harsh and unforgiving nature of Harmonia’s terrain.

Cultures & Races

Saryian Beastpeople

Nomadic and shaped by a mysterious plague, the Saryian Beastpeople have become experts in herbalism and healing. Druids hold prominent roles within their society, guiding their people through their philosophy of love, acceptance, and pleasure. Their nomadic lifestyle fosters a sense of adaptability and openness to other cultures, making them avid explorers and learners.

Kroany Humans

Residing in Harmonia and Southeast Internitus, the Kroany are proud and kind, with brightly dyed hair and golden-brown skin. Known for a horn-like growth ceremoniously severed at birth, the Kroany maintain an insular culture focused on technological and social advancements, showing little interest in external events or other realms.

Amorn Elves

Amorn Elves embody humility, feared and revered for their Robin Hood-like actions of taking from the rich to aid the poor. They follow the beliefs of the first elves and Ryu-Jin, the Dragon God, blending invention, magic, and anarchy. Often overthrowing governments for chaos, they are driven by their devotion to Sary, Sanguis and other gods in their pantheon.

Tradeheart Hairfoots

Renowned for their goldsmithing, the Tradeheart Hairfoots prioritize their craft over social interactions. This Hairfoot subgroup, known for its opulence, values family and friends, with noble lines tracing back numerous generations. They prefer warm and dessert like regions that are devoid of life, honing their craft in these environments.

Regional Monsters

Harmonis Azuretzi

Serpentine creatures with sharp teeth, covered in golden scales with silver and pink highlights. These creatures burrow through the sand, their actions guided by memories that often blend mimicry and past mortal experiences. They defy logical patterns, acting according to their own unpredictable rules.

Cauthooj

Large, flightless birds known for their hypnotic song, which drives prey into a frenzy before they feast on the remains. These solitary predators are reviled for their preference for humanoid prey, with hunting parties often dispatched to eliminate them before they can strike again.

Seraptis

Twisted humanoid demons with four arms, born from souls that thrived on creating misery. These nihilistic beings feast on suffering, using half-truths and propaganda to manipulate mortals into committing atrocities. Their ultimate goal is to claim the souls of their pawns, creating more of their kind to spread their twisted influence.
