Amulet of Typhlonous (/tyˈflon.us/)
The Amulet of Typhlonous is an amulet that possesses the power to protect the wearer and those within a certain radius around him against all forms of magical scrying thought-detection. Created by the legendary Khemite mage, Typhlonous, it is a flat metal disk composed of a bronze alloy approximately 2 inches in diameter with four small embedded ornamental stones arranged as a compass rose. The northern point is a blue stone; the southern point is a green stone; the eastern point is a red stone; and the western point is a black stone. In the center of the rose is an engraved depiction of a closed eyelid that is highlighted with black ink.
History
In 114 PR, the Amulet of Typhlonous came into the possession of the young Eknon mage, Teleptyon Marathonos, after the demise of the sorceress Raisa Belvukova. Claiming it as his spoils, it took Teleptyon approximately six months to uncover the secret of the amulet's power to ward his thoughts from detection.
