Ashkuzi Horse Bow

Contributors:

Bow made and used by mounted Ashkuzi warriors. Most are constructed of heartwood, animal horn and sinew, and use silk for string. Light and powerful, the bows are prized objects in the Ashkuzi culture and often kept as objects of veneration by family members of fallen warriors.

All Ashukuzi warriors are expected to construct a bow as part of their manhood trials and train at repairing bows throughout childhood.

It is a great dishonor to lose a bow to an opponent, or have it destroyed in combat. To simply lose or misplace your bow is a social catastrophe within the family/clan group.

In rare cases, a warrior might be stripped of his bow upon exile.
