Ikhoni (/ʔiːx.o:ni/)
Cruel and sadisitc, the Ikhoni are innately magical monsterous creatures who delight in inflicting pain upon other beings. Made of stone, they are often confused for the theriocephalic statutary that is commonly found in Khemian temples. Ikhoni will take advantage of this resembalance, and will stand perfectly still until their hapless prey approaches close enough to pounce upon.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Morphologically, ikhoni resemble winged humanoids. Most commonly, they have heads with leonine features; however, falcon-headed and jackel-headed ikhoni have also been reported to exist.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Ikhoni do not need to breathe, eat, or drink.

History
Some sages believe that ikhoni were created by the Apophian sorcerers of the Third Age as weapons to use against their insectoid foes from the stars or as overseers for the many slave races that lived under the yoke of the Djeti Empire.
