Lamos' Blessing

Lamos' Blessing (Aeriscan: Donao Lamoso) is the name given to a large fungus that only grows under certain climatic conditions that can be found in some of the caverns along the costal clifs of Aerisca Borealis. It was named in honor of Lamos, the Ouranic God of Healing, by the Aeriscans due to its extremely potent medicinal properties. Sages of the healing arts that desire this fungus as an ingredient will sponor expeditions to travel to the often dangerous and difficult to reach places where it can be harvested.

Ecology and Habitats

The requisite ecological conditions required for Lamos' Blessing to grow and flourish are quite rare; only in certain caverns found within the cliffsides of the multitude of coves that dot the coastline of Aerisca Borealis can one find the correct combination of humdity, temperature, light, and aerosolized nutrients from the sea-spray formed by ocean waves crashing upon the cavern walls.

Additional Information

Uses, Products & Exploitation

Lamos' Blessing is named as such due to its powerful medicinal properties. Consumption of the fungus will cure most infections, whereas, applying it as a poultice will quickly staunch bleeding or help the body knit broken bones. Those who study philosophia arcana learn the secrets of distilling the properties of this fungus through alchemy to produce even more powerful effects through the creation of tinctures that can cure serious wounds or cure virulent diseases.
