Nevi Banakos
Nevi Banakos (a.k.a. Tarn Zarotis)
Nevi Banakos was a necromancer devoted to the death-cult of the goddess Nexra. In 114 PR, he was ordered by his superiors to inflitrate the abandonded Shrine of Naeia Aeriscae to find the secret to unlocking the mad sea-god Vargus from his magical imprisonment. A group of adventurers who were sent to find Tarn Zarotis, a young acolyte of the Order of the Sea-Mother stumbled upon Nevi and his group of mercenaries after they had slaughtered Tarn and his party. Thinking quickly, Nevi convinced the adventurers that he was the young Brother Tarn and asked them to accompany him further into the depths of the shrine so that he might stop the dark ritual of invoking Vargus.
Despite the initial suspicions of Zhuge Liang, and later Alexandru Croitoru, Nevi managed to travel with the party for an extended period of time until they had approached closely enough for the call of the imprisoned Vargus to fill the mind of the zealous Nevi. Growing impatient with his ruse, Nevi attempted to overcome Alex, the small Oameni rogue while the rest of their companions were asleep. However, as all Oameni possess Lysdar's Gift, Alex was able to dodge Nevi's necromantic assault upon his very soul and slay him with a sword thrust into his gut.
