Personal history
The firstborn son of four children, Albani was born into a family of craftsmen who earned a comfortable living weaving nets and traps for the fishermen of Elefni. He grew up amongst the mariners of Megea Bay, and as a young boy befriend an Oameni child. This childhood friendship prevented him from developing the deep prejudice that many hold toward the Oameni.

Motivation
A genuine reformer, Albani wishes to improve the welfare of all the citizens in the League, desiring a return to classical Rexan republican values of equal protection under the law. Likewise, having come from modest means, he seeks to ameliorate the poverty that has persisted among the Aeriscans since waves of Rexan refugees arrived during the Refugium.

Having served in the Elefni milita, Albani is a proficent swordsman. In particular, he prefers to fight with a spada and shield.

Even before his election as Doge, which also installed him as Pontifex Maximus of the Aeriscan Ouranic Church, Albani was extremely devout to the point of evangelism. In particular, he holds Xidohros and Ka'ais dear in his heart as patron deities. His reverence for the God of Night and the God of Fate is reflected in his interest in astrology. When he has the time to spare, Albani often chooses to spend it in deep reflection of astrological tomes, believing that through study of the motions of the stars and planets and their effect on men, one can gain insight into Ator's true laws.
