Rexa Capta

Versus Primus:
Rexa, o urbs sancta, nunc sub horrore iaces,
Nefastius tyrannus victor, iunctus cum morte.
Vae populis fidelibus, qui nunc iacent in fuga,
Spes sublata, spes oppressa, spes victi.

Versus Intercalaris:
Misereatur nostri, Mater pietatis, diva Maya,
Protegat nostri, Pater iustitiae, divus Ator.
Sicut fulmen cecidit inimicus, ut lex Artoris det pacem,
O Rexa Capta, nos te lamentamur!

Versus Secundus:
O Nefastius! Tenebris repletus, mortem inferis vocat,
Nemo valuit non iam resistere.
Etiam urbem sanctam tu rapuisti ab imperio,
Nulla spes, nulla vis, nulla fides, nihil superest.

(Versus Intercalaris)

Versus Tertius:
Sed quid clamamus, O Maya? Quid petitum nobis?
Numquid vos obliviscimur, diva noster, vel spes nobis frustra?
Deficit nobis vires, sed ad te clamamus,
Per manus tua, O Domina, lux in cordibus nobis donetis.

(Versus Intercalaris)

Versus Qartus:
O Rexa capta, urbs nostra, tu mater civium,
Nec timore nec morte, tibi fidelitas nostra deficiet.
O Atore, redde nobis salutem libertatemque,
Nunc et semper, in saecula saeculorum.

(Versus Intercalaris)
Verse 1:
Rexa, O holy city, now prostrate under horror,
Tyrant Nefastius victorious has joined with death.
Woe to the faithful people who now lie in exile,
Their hope is dashed, oppressed, and defeated.
Chorus:
May the Mother of Mercy, divine Maya, pity us,
May the Father of Justice, divine Ator, protect us.
May the enemy fall like lightning, so that Ator's law may bring peace,
O captive Rexa, we lament you!

Verse 2:
O Nefastius! Filled with darkness, you summon the dead,
No one had power to resist any longer.
You have also seized the holy city from our rule,
No hope, no strength, no faith, nothing remains.

(Chorus)

Verse 3:
But what do we cry out, O Maya? What do we ask for?
Have we forgotten you, our Goddess, or is our hope in vain?
Our strength fails us, but we cry out unto you,
By your hand, O Lady, grant light to our hearts.

(Chorus)

Verse 4:
O captive Rexa, our city, you are the mother of your citzenry
Neither fear nor death shall diminish our loyalty to you.
O Ator, restore our salvation and our freedom,
Now and always, forever more!

(Chorus)
