Xamherkhepeshef
Xamherkhepeshef, a young dwarven warrior, yearned for the glory of battle. He dreamed of facing the ghoulish hordes that plagued the Senu Desert. Bound by duty to his cousin, Khufu, a wise but somewhat naive cleric, he reluctantly joined the Order of Xam.
Under the Order's tutelage, Herk honed his martial skills, eager to prove himself. When the Order dispatched Khufu and Herk to the perilous Yafwadi Wastes, Herk was elated, while Khufu, ever the cautious scholar, was less enthusiastic.
Fate, however, had a cruel twist in store. Ambushed by Yafwadi raiders, the cousins were separated. Herk found himself imprisoned in a desolate desert village, forced to toil as a slave. His fate was sealed when he was condemned as a sacrifice to the dark god, Reshpu.
As he awaited his grim end, a glimmer of hope appeared. Khufu, rescued by a band of human adventurers, led them to the village. Herk felt it was beneath him to fight alongside this motley crew, but Khufu seemed convinced and he could not say not to Khufu.
