Emperor Nefastius of the Rexan Empire, successfully conducted a necromantic ritual to grant him eternal unlife as a lich. In order to accomplish this feat, Nefastius drained the life force of all living animals and plants within a 50 mile radius of his palace. Afterwards, he used his newfound powers to raise an army of the dead to crush any and all opposition to his vile deed.
