Elder

Requirements

They must have witnessed five [Attunements] and studied at least one in-depth.

Appointment

An elder may only be appointed by another elder. Very occasionally, mortals are explicitly appointed elder by beings of the Spirit Realm.

Duties

They are in charge of pleasing the spirits by maintaining balance accross realms. They must also help train the next generation of spellcasters. To accomplish this, elders often have a small number of apprentices.

Benefits

They can influence political decisions.

Cultural Significance

Elders are greatly respected by all citizens of a country. They are sought out for advice, fortune telling and private training.
