Embered Python
Basic Information
Anatomy
The embered python gets its name from its orange/red flecks on its otherwise dark body. These resemble embers and likely evolved in a volcanic area.
Ecology and Habitats
Dietary Needs and Habits
This species usually hunts at night by selectively lighting its embers in a pattern that resembles a fire being lit. It uses this to scare its prey into somewhere it cannot escape from, such as a burrow, where it slithers into and kills the prey. The python can also hunt much larger creatures, and has been known to kill Inulae, though this is an incredibly rare occurence.
