Exalted Shatter

Effect

Exalted Shatter is a spell that uses soul mutilation to shatter, or break a soul into many pieces. A person who has had Exalted Shatter used on them, then has a shattered soul, which is a type of ‘broken’ soul (a soul that has taken permanent damage). If their soul is detected, they appear soulless like all types of ‘broken’ souls, unless they have a familiar, in which they would then appear to be soul split like all half souled beings.

Side/Secondary Effects

The mutilation takes a lot out of the caster, and leaves the target (that can also be the caster) suffering from Soulless side effects for a few days. During this time if they don’t create a link between the different parts of the soul, they will become soulless (unless they have a familiar).
If they do have a familiar, the familiar will suffer from effects similar to being Soulless. It is unknown if they can be cured of these side effects.

Power / energy from the point between light and dark.

Gestures & Ritual

The caster needs to find balance between the light and dark, and draw energy from it. Then the caster puts their hand on the target (themselves if they are the target), then say - "et disrumpam eos"
