Qud-kai
Infrastructure
Qud-kai is a floating town with a large Qhaiqrelan hive on its underside. It used to be a major tourist attraction as the largest floating settlement, but it has become rundown since its crown was taken by Ām Aaru.
Guilds and Factions
Many gangs and illicit guilds run their operations in the city's many abandoned buildings. It is well-known for being a bounty hunter haven.
History
Qud-kai was founded many centuries ago, when Human explorers set up a camp on top of a Qhaiqrelan hive in order to study them. The Qhaiqrelans swiftly enslaved the Humans as workers for the hive. To keep the Humans alive, they set up a platform above their hive. Over the years, this slowly expanded as the Human population grew.
Upon the invention of the airship, Qud-kai became a place of interest from far and wide, and the Qhaiqrelans decided to utilise this by building the small settlement into a town. The town experienced a huge population boom and became flooded with tourists bringing in small fortunes.
After a few decades, word arrived of an entire floating city in the neighbouring country of Ulfyha Bha, and Qud-kai lost its fame overnight.
Now it is a slowly crumbling settlement, home only to outlaws and the descendants of the original Human slaves.
