Twiskwing
Basic Information
Anatomy
Twiskwings are large, predatory four-winged birds with sharp barbs on its underside for catching small prey mid-flight.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Twiskwings generally hunt small rodents such as Forked Shrews and Furrow hoppers, as well as small birds and occasionally reptiles and larger mammals.
Biological Cycle
Twiskwings lay their eggs mid-flight above desert dunes or jungle canopies. The eggs are specially adapted to glide gently to the ground, and they have a thick outer covering that lessens impact and insulates the embryo at the same time.
