Skyhome Southern Docks

The southern docks of Skyhome are the busiest ,most active part of the city, by far. 90% of the goods transported on and off of the island flows through this district, either being loaded on to, or unloaded off of, the various merchant transport ships that make port here at every hour of the day.
At the southern docks, you can find ships flying to nearly every corner of the Skies, sailors with the wildest tales, and a number of creature comforts for wary Sky sailors. With the right amount of Slivers, you can buy your way to anywhere in the Skies or buy anything from the Skies. 
Travelers beware! Though mostly safe during the day, after nightfall the docks become less so, as gangs prowl the streets, and drunken sailors are quick to draw pistola for even minor disagreements. 
Ships that intend to stay moored to the southern docks for any length of time must make an official appeal to the Portmaster's station, who are responsible for keeping track of the different ships coming and going from the island. Generally, ships are expected to pay a mooring fee of 500 Rarity 3 Slivers per day they are moored in port. Skyhome citizens, however, are given preferential treatment, and only pay 100 Rarity 3 Slivers instead.

Defences

The Cloud Guard maintains a moderate sized garrison in the district, with a number of bilingual officers to assist with mediating disputes between citizens of Skyhome and travelers from other islands.

Infrastructure

The southern docks are a tanged low-lying labyrinth of residential buildings, shipping warehouses, brothels, inns, shops, and shipyards. The buildings all generally share the Skyhome aesthetic, but traces of other cultures can be seen among some of the newer structures as well.
