Spell Cannon

The Spell Cannon is an arcane armament designed partially by Enchanters Guild and a unnamed wizard. Made from cast iron carved with runes, and a series of specifically tuned chunks of Echo Quartz, the cannon is able to channel magic into a massive concussive blast.
As an action, a user can feed a spell of 3rd level or higher to the cannon in order to cast a modified version of the spell fireball. The fireball is of the same level as the spell fed into the cannon.
The spell is different in three distinct ways.

• Instead of being a 20 ft radius sphere, it is a 30 ft radius sphere.
• Instead of having a range of 150 ft, it instead has a range of 300 ft.
• If the spell you sacrifice has a damage type associate with it, instead of fire damage, the fireball spell does the damage type of your sacrificed spell. If you spell had no damage type associated with it, it instead does force damage.

The spell cannon has 75 hit points.

Access & Availability

The Spell Cannon is a rare and expensive weapon, due to its power and compact size. Typically, it can be bought for a little over 50,000 type 2 Slivers on islands that manufacture them, although the factions that produce them are rarely willing to sell them to complete strangers.
