Armenia
A small landlocked nation in the southern Caucasus Mountains, between the Black and Caspian Seas, Armenia is located between Georgia, Azerbaijan, Iran, and Turkey. Mount Ararat, long associated with Armenia (and part of their national emblem) is now located in present-day Turkey. As with other nation-states in the Caucasus region, Armenia was once part of the Soviet Union, gaining its independence in 1990, but the nation has a long history, extending back to the founding of the first Kingdom of Armenia in 600 BC.
