Knogrir Benknotta is not your typical dwarf. Born out of necessity from a test tube, Knogrir was created and bred for war. Desperate to defeat the soldiers of Darian's Reach, the Triple Star Conflux began a project to create an expendable but capable army. Taking the DNA from the bones of an ancient war hero (digging up those bones was quite the controversy), the scientists of the TSC began cloning small, elite squadrons of Óttalauss (or Fearless). Batch Kn, made up of Knollan, Knal, Knatur, and Knogrir were created at the height of the conflict. Accelerated through childhood and trained in the art of war, Knickel Squadron felt well prepared for the battle below. But the fighters of Darian's Reach were more resiliant than Knickel Squadron could ever imagine. They got hit. HARD. Knollan's life was on the balance but using his unique strength, mind, and magical capabilities Knogrir was able to stabilize his brother Knollan. From then on, Knogrir focused his training on medicine and magic.
The Óttalauss all had access to magic. It was interred within the dwarven heroes bones. But that magic was rarely focused on by members of the Fearless. They were fighters, warriors, and had little use for magic in the throws of battle. Knogrir's curiousity quickly set him apart from his brothers in Knickel Squadron. He started studying triage, the art of quick combat healing, as well as magic (the aggressive kind) and that garnered the attention of the TSC. This Óttalauss could be useful.
Knogrir was offered a position at a prestigeous military acadamy, which he accepted with glee. He was given a last name, which seperated him from his brothers as more than just a Óttalauss. Now, Knogrir was a real dwarf, not just a tool but a doctor! Doctor Benknotta.
Knollan detested this change in his brother. He felt Dr. Benknotta had abandoned his squad and forsaken his knamesake. A knamesake they should have shared. He still believed he owed his brother Knogrir his life, but detested Dr. Benknotta.
Doctor Benknotta met Clara Brassfeld in a Ship Maintenance lecture. The two didn't have many classes together, as Doctor Benknotta was on a medical/magic track and Clara was studying tinkering and Gadgeteering. Despite that, the two hit it off immediately and dated throughout their time at the academy. However, they discovered that their intensity, coupled with their love for alcohol, negatively effected their scientific and academic pursuits. They decided to remain friends, meeting up maybe a BIT to often and drinking maybe a BIT too much, but much less than they had been while together. To this day Clara remains close with her "Knoggin'" keeping the door to their workshop (and maybe some other things) open.
After completing his studies, Dr. Benknotta wanted to travel to learn more about different Xeno species and maybe even some magic. But the TSC had other plans. They expected Dr. Benknotta to use his new knowledge for the benefit of the TSC Military. He felt forced into service, but was at least happy to learn that Clara would also be working alongside him (though in the tinkering department).
After years of treating wounded clones, Dr. Benknotta was beginning to feel his skills were being wasted. He resented that his life was being used to progress the circle of violence in the war with the Darian Reach. That's when Clara returned.
The TSC had Clara working on a project that they did not morally support. They told Dr. Benknotta that they were planning on leaving the TSC, even if it meant an intense danger to them. Dr. Benknotta couldn't believe what they were saying was true, but after they deserted the military complex of the TSC, Benknotta's own issues with the TSC and his want to explore and learn more ate away at his patience and devotion to the TSC.
Now, seeking a way to escape the TSC for good, Dr. Benknotta has come into contact with a smuggler looking to take medical supplies somewhere. Dr. Benknotta didn't care where, he just knows it is time to go.

Knollan, Knal, Knatur- Batch Brothers of Knogrir. They fought in many a battle together and trained for years at each others side. When together, they work like a well-oiled machine. But now, with a divide growing between Knogrir and his brothers, some have grown to resent him.

Clara Brassfeld (She/They) - Clara is a gearhead. Oil stains their fingertips and the ends of their hair. Their love for engineering cannot be understated. It's the main reason they broke things off with Knogrir. They deserted the Triple Star Conflux after being assigned to a project they refused on a moral ground to participate in.

Family Ties

Biologically related to most of the Triple Star Conflux army, because they are all clones.
