Stone centipedes lay a single stony egg, then protect it ferociously, even going without food themselves to feed it to their child when it hatches.

Underground, in low light conditions, but will burrow upwards to snatch prey from below.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Stone centipedes are carnivores. They hunt by burrowing underground, finding the vibration of a known prey animal, then bursting through the ground to snatch them up in their mandibles.
