Yvas

Yvas is a country lying to the west of Kingdom of Red Veil and is the largest of the Spine Kingdoms.

Structure

Yvas considers only those who own property to be full citizens. They elect representatives from their area to join the Syskriger, a senate of representatives, who act as lawmakers and judges both.

Trade & Transport

Slavery - or prepaid servitude - is a notable trade that exists in Yvas. Slaves in Yvas are usually obtained from raids or its own citizens selling family members to pay off debts. They are organized into a distinct hierarchy, with Donntes being the lowest caste of labourers, Viller being those with specific skills such as scribing, Pliata being slaves taken for pleasure or art, and the highest and most expensive being Hlinkites, or sorcerers. Rigid prices and regulations are put in place by the Syskriger, though most are to the benefit of slave owners rather than the slaves themselves.
