Massacre of the Riker Farm

The community rife with rumors of a terrible tragedy that struck the Riker farmstead. The local homestead was mysteriously sacked and burned. The entire area desecrated with cultic symbols and the blood of animals. Who ever committed the attack went to great effort to salt the ground and burn the property. Riker family was lead by Gerin (pronounced Geralt) Riker who was a very well respected man in the community. Riker and his wife had two daughters both of were married and live on the Riker framestead. They also had three grandsons and a granddaughter. The Riker family were pillers of the community. Gerin served as a protector of the community all his life, and trained many of the youths preparing them to enter the ranks of the Dogs of War. Verify ornate tombstones were carved and placed for each member of the family. The headstones were faced in an oval shape make pattern of a longship. One grave however was not filled and remains empty. This is the grave of Gerin Riker himself. There were practically no clues found of what happened at the Riker Farm or even what the possible motivation could have been. The only unusal thing that in the region was that some neighbors reported seeing large ships with strange sails with unusal markings sailing south shortly after the attack.
