Bachal (BACK-ALL)
Bachals are the primary Icalaran cattle species. A large, hardy, quadruped herd animal similar to cows or yaks, they are widespread and reared primarily for their meat and leather. Both males and females are recognizable by their elegant, tall, upright-crescent horns (larger in the bulls). They do not produce viable amounts of milk. They are fully domesticated.
They are not particular about their diet and have the added benefit of being able to go for long periods without water. However, finding enough grazing territory can be difficult for many countries, and as such Kiva is the primary exporter of cattle for butchering and bachal leather.
A male is known as a bull and a female as a sow.
