Jeweler's Acid
Jeweler's acid is an etchant of ferric chloride commonly used for the small-scale etching of metals and certain gemstones, most often in jewelry. It is used sparingly and at great expense due to the molysite having to be imported from Balaqaleyis or, occasionally, Iyr or Seyis-Gol.
It is used in part of the verification process for ikam stones.
