Loika (Low-ICK-uh)

Loika are small quadrupedal griffin-like, egg-laying mammals about half the size of an average house cat. Though their eggs are edible, they are mostly kept as house pets and wild/feral populations have become rare. They have limited flight capability -- less than a yard or two in a burst.
