Angorodrin's Pennance
This fiery gauntlet appeared at times to be made more of living flame than it did of metal, particularly when in use, and could be worn on either hand interchangeably. It did not have a pair however, and historically did not appreciate those who attempted to match it with an existing glove. Its primary purpose was to enhance spells of destruction cast through it, allowing them to affect greater ranges, or cause even more damage than their caster would be able to under normal circumstances. In addition, the glove itself seemed able to unleash a flood of flames under its own power, whether its wearer had magical powers of their own or not.
Legend states that, early in his reign, the lands of Karaj Raksi were assailed by a rampaging monster of fire which had escaped through a weak spot in the planar boundary of the still settling reflection. This monster was of such size and power that the Founder himself and his closest companions were forced to face it in battle. When the dust settled however, the monster was not dead, but had instead been defeated and captured somehow. It was then forced into the a prison, this gauntlet, which was made for it, and keeps it imprisoned. It lends out its power to its wearer, empowering their spells, but only used to wreak havoc and sow destruction. However, an incautious user could find their magic turned against them, and targets they did not select burned down before them if they did not keep a careful handle on the vengeful spirit of destruction trapped within.
Luckily, there have been no confirmed instances of the use of this artifact since shortly after the demise of the Founder. Some of the tales of the destruction it wrought while in his hands, or those of his most trusted allies are horrifying enough. The image of what it could do while on the hand of one with the power to wield it, but none of the warnings about its true nature does not bear contemplating.
