Blooddrinker
A gift from a king of dragons for services rendered, Blooddrinker was one of the less esoteric items in Karaj Raksi's Regalia. It was a vicious sword which possessed many of the characteristics of such weapons (which survey gatherers from the International Magicians' Consortium claim are the most common items to be given a rankable enchantment) i.e. nigh-indestructability, eternal sharpness, etc. What made Blooddrinker stand out was its ability to drain the life force of its wielder in order to deal more punishing blows to enemies. This was an extremely powerful ability, but one that carried several obvious and inherent risks. As such, Karaj Raksi rarely used it himself, instead preferring to grant it to his chosen champion for a given battle (although that does not mean he neve availed himself of its abilities personally).
The Blooddrinker has been one of the more active parts of the Regalia in the centuries since Raksi's passing, appearing from time to time in the hands of a rampaging warlord or general. Due to its nature however, these wielders rarely manage to keep ahold of it for long, and it often is lost to history, only to reappear somewhere else. Despite its higher rate of use than those artifacts which have never resurfaced, Blooddrinker is not the sort of item to be used by a singular duelist or kept by a collector. It belongs on the battlefield, and when people try and use it for other purposes than these they tend to come to far more bloody and violent ends then even the brutal warlords who are the other sort to seek the weapon out. Whether this is simply a case of recurring bad luck, or an actual curse upon the blade, none know for sure. Such events have been well-enough documented however that only those seeking true conquest have actively sought the blade for over a century now.
