Lord of Golden Light, The Purifier, The Uplifter

Lether, most commonly known as The Lord of Golden Light, is an extremely new potential deity arriving on the scene in several Reflections. It has managed to garner the greatest following in what shall be known as Malaq for now (better, less-plagiarized naming to follow) over the past year and a half. This is obscenely new on the cosmological power scale, and it remains to see if its meteoric rise will be matched by as swift a fall, or if there is actually any staying power in this movement. Considering the apparent youth of its following, it is beyond shocking the level worship and acceptance Lether has managed to accrue already. In less than 5 years (some say less than 2) The Order of the Blinding Sun (the cult/religion that worships Lether) and its associated secular enterprises have managed to build an empire that stretches across the majority of the reflection, and have done a passable job at starting to absorb and stamp out the worship of the previous pantheons. It has not quite reached open religious warfare quite yet, but the signs are rising that such a thing could definitely come about in the near future. This amazingly swift gain in influence, both metaphysically and politically, is due to both the apparent shrewdness of the cult's leaders, as well as the unique circumstances of this reflection. The complete lack of "uplifting" deities active in the current pantheon, as well as the splintered political landscape, that had no true large powers of any consequence, as well as the apparent inability of any other organization able to tackle the new surge of demon cults and incursions across the land presented a perfect opportunity for it and its followers to quickly win over hearts, minds, and wallets across the land. (More details on these developments, and the reflection in general, can be found elsewhere). Lether is worshiped as a doubly-aspected deity of purifying light and wealth accumulation. These two things are rarely joined together by serious preachers before this, but its promoters preach about how these two things are linked intrinsically. Gold, both the substance and the light, are things to be praised and accumulated. The whole ends and means thing is not a HUGE focus, and the purification focuses on corruption of all kinds, not merely the metaphysical. This helps the cult to appeal to both the wealthy and the poor, as everybody likes someone who will drive out demons, lead them to gain wealth, and restrain those who illegally abuse a system for their own gain, and feed off of it while not providing anything of note themselves, whether they be a parasitic demon or a demonic bureaucrat.
