The North Sea

This is the sea linked to some cold, primordial ocean. Here the freezing temperature of water is somehow lower than it should be, and the ocean is full of huge storms, icebergs and glaciers, and powerful sea monsters. Crossing it is extremely difficult, but fishermen/aquatic monster hunters make lots of money probing its depths. They usually stay close to shore however, for it is extremely unpredictable.

Fauna & Flora

Large type sea monsters, especially those that dwell in the coldest depths. We are talking Krakens, ancient Sea Wyrms, and the like. However, because of the nature of this sea they can be found FAR closer to the surface than they normally would. Also, there is somehow a larger number of them then the local ecosystem of smaller creatures should allow, meaning that those smaller "prey" animals (like poor little sharks) must be far fiercer and more aggressive to survive.
