The Prince
A gift that sealed the final treaty between the denizens of the forest which became known as The Never and Karaj Raksi's empire, this ring was of immense value. This was by most accounts the end of any significant expansion performed in his lifetime, and secured one of the most problematic and volatile borders of the reflection. The ring itself, when worn by its owner, projected a mind-altering aura around the wearer at all times. When worn on the right hand, this aura was one which inclined the affected to view the wearer with an unnatural degree of trust, and listen to all of his suggestions as if they had come from a closely trusted friend. When worn on the left hand however, an aura of fear and awe emitted from the wearer at all times. It was rumored in some stories that only those who had sworn personal fealty to the wearer were exempt from these effects, while others claimed that Karaj Raksi was able to pick and choose who would be affected and who remained immune.
The true power of the ring lay in when it was bestowed upon another however. In that case, Karaj Raksi retained command over the ring's power, and instead of emitting an aura, it allowed him to ride behind the eyes of the new bearer of the ring. In this way he was able to mentally communicate with the wearer, hear what the heard, see what they saw, and even speak through their lips. Other, more esoteric powers have also been attributed to this ring, however these are the ones which most stories generally agree upon.
The exact appearance of this ring is not agreed upon by folklore, and the fey have been characteristically difficult to pry information from about it. This is not entirely surprising, considering the fact that it is primarily an item of subterfuge. In some stories, it is a plain, unadorned metal band, in other, a heavy signet with a large stone, in still others an invisible ring, or one made of living plants, the wind, or any other number of strange and exotic materials.
The ring has not been seen since shortly after the demise of Karaj Raksi, unlike some other elements of his legendary regalia which have appeared from time to time in the centuries since.
