The Solarium
The Solarium is a religious/military order based in the Elorian Empire with a focus on the arcane. Due to the constraints placed upon divine beings, which limit their capacity to directly interfere with events in the Funhouse proper, these followers of a deity (which will be named/fleshed out at a later date) seek power through scholarly means, that they may better serve their Lady without being a drain upon the limited amount of divine power she is able to exert in the plane. The Solarium is not quite an order of magical errant knights, traveling about and dispensing justice and the like, but they do have an extremely loose hierarchy and not much in the realm of permanent infrastructure. The Elorian Empire is of such a size that they are not often seen outside of its borders outside of the lone questor seeking an extra challenge. Until, that is, the rise of the Gravedigger, who represented such an affront to their deity, and such an existential threat (that was for unknown reasons being ignored by their own government and military) that they felt compelled to act.
Although varied in their methods and approaches, a few guiding principles served to unite the Solarium. They were all servants of the goddess Solaris, who personified light, purity, and the pursuit of knowledge. Unlike other orders of holy knights to whom they might casually be compared however, members of the Solarium did not beseech their goddess for her power, nor attempt to channel it in their deeds. Instead, they studied the magical and technological arts, that they may, through their own efforts, bring such metaphysical power to bear upon their foes. In this way, they could honor their
