The Standard

Although often confused with the banner which Karaj Raksi's armies marched beneath, the actual magical artifact in this case was the pole upon which said banner was mounted.  Won in one of the first major campaigns fought by his burgeoning empire, this banner allows a magician of some sort to place a single, concentrated enchantment upon its bearer alone, and the banner pole will then spread the effects of that enchantment throughout the entire host that marches beneath it.  This was instrumental to many of the successes of the Founder, especially in early campaigns which were decided primarily by one or two armies alone.  It also allowed the empire's forces to compete with other races and forces which had a far higher concentration of experts in the arcane arts on a more even playing field, such as the Fey, as one spell cast by one caster could be stretched to cover hundreds, or even thousands, without any noticeable dilution.
The pole upon which this banner was mounted was actually the first item which Karaj Raksi won upon the field of battle, wresting it from the front of an army of mindless abominations said to come from the Outer Sea.  The pole itself is a simple pole of about six feet in length, with a crossbar centered on it, from which any sort of flag could be mounted.  The abominable army from which it was stolen marched beneath of horrifyingly blank standard known as "The Empty Sigil", since they did not rely on morale, being possessed of a hive-mind like mentality.
(I haven't decided what sort of symbol Raksi used yet.  I'll throw that in when I think of something suitably cool)
