Era beginning/end

This is when Jack-of-all-Trades (later known as Jack Ravenhill) first arrived in the town of Brackish looking for work.

Jack was at this time an traveling farm worker looking for a place to settle down. He went from town to town looking for temporary work doing whatever the village needed, staying out of population centers. He was looking for a place with a strong enough need that he could conceivably stay, and possibly even find a place to settle as his own master (eventually). It is unclear how long he continued on in this way before arriving in Brackish around harvest time.
