Elam

Elam are a sapient humanoid species and members of the Galactic Federation. They come from the planet Kleynar.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Elam are a humanoid species walking in an upright position. Their distinctive feature is an bald elongated head. On both its sides they have round bulbs, which serve as their ears and are also very sensitive touch. It is said that the bulbs are one of the Elam's erogenous zones.

Elam don't have human-like noses. Instead, they have a pair of holes which they use for breathing and smelling. As the result, their sense of smell is much weaker than that of a Human.

Genetics and Reproduction

Elam reproduce through eggs. The concpetion takes place the same ways as in Humans. After about a week the female lays egg(s) and protects them for about 5 months until a child is born.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Elam are mostly herbivores, but at least once a month they must eat meat. It ensures that their brains function properly.

We encountered an alien vessel. They're not responding to our hails, but they sent us a recorded message. As of this moment it is gibberish to us, but our linguist are working on translanting the language.

The aliens hailed us and we responded. For a few seconds we didn't understood each other, bur they sent us a file which had a translator program in it. With it we could talk. They come from a species known as the Elam and are happy to have met us.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Elam are open to contacts with other species. They want to learn about others and explore the universe. This was the reason they joined the Federation.
