Immortals

Immortals are mythological creatures that are believed to exist on each of the continents who act as guardians of their people. Though their numbers are highly desputed with some stories telling of four creatures and others as many as twenty. As their name suggests, it is believed these creatures have existed since the dawn of time. Though some stories suggest they can be killed. But it is ill-advised to attempt to do so, lest you incur their wrath.
It is said that "to lay eyes upon an immortal will either bestow a blessing or curse down upon your house." And due to this belief, they are often revered as gods in most cultures.
Legends of the immortal creatures often describe two defining traits. Their entire body emits a brilliant aura of light and their eyes are described as either "as deep as the sea" or "raging as an inferno." Adventurers should take caution should they believe they have come across one as they may be ill-tempered, that is if they exist.
