The Diary of Ra'in'ica
The Diary of Ra'in'ica (pronounced Rah-een-eekuh) is a book found in the Sylvan Library by Hysteria while looking for information about an undivulged person. The contents of this book and the existence of Ra'in'ica are unknown to the rest of the Spiritual Travelers at this time.
It follows a period of time in the life of Ra'in'ica, an elven woman from the Frozen Shores of Harandil. The diary begins with her having recently fallen on hard times as she lost her wife, one of her children, and was forced to move further inland due to financial instability. She ended up discovering and creating a pact with a hag which apparently introduced herself as "Miili of the Lines".
The Diary features rituals that Ra'in'ica used to communicate with Miili, and the steps she had to take to gain power. She apparently used this power to help her remaining child, and even went so far as to seek out vengeance for her deceased wife and child. However, she never went through with this, and instead used her newfound power to improve her community and her own living situation. She was eventually noticed, and, despite her mostly good intentions, she was sentenced to life in prison for the discovered plots she had abandoned.
It is unclear how these plots came to light, but her last entry involves plans to sacrifice herself rather than be taken by the "Silence in the Night that comes for all Sinners like Me".
