• Two types: subterranean and surface

• Subterranean dwarves live deep underground in their vast cities, most rarely go to the surface. Many are afraid of the sky and wear veils and hoods when they go up, a common sight in surface cities near mine entrances

• Surface dwarves live on the surface, usually in their own neighborhoods in human cities. They often liaisons between other races and subterranean dwarves

• Seen as hardworking and trustworthy, but stereotyped as being drunks

• Often traders, craftsmen, and miners

• All have beards
