Conner McGurran
Born and raised in Sacramento, CA. Conner enlisted at eighteen and had recently returned from a tour abroad when the world ended.
Since then, he's been fighting under Army command in one form or another. First for the brass at Fort Knox. He was a big part of securing the base, which was overrun by the dead for the first three days of the Wave, until they were able to rally defenders and clear the sprawling complex. Later Conner was embedded with forces clearing a route north to the airfield. After that, a month of constant warfare with the Louisville Horde, defending the airfield as the military continued moving out equipment and personnel.
Conner was fortunate to be stationed on the western front when the lines broke on the north side of the airfield. Falling back from his lines to engage shamblers on the runways, he linked up with Captain Nelson and his men. He's been following Nelsons command since. Between the subsequent battle in Bullitt County and various encounters on the road, none of his original unit remains. Conner himself seems to have a survivors spirit. He's a bit overwhelmed by the comforts of the Ranch, but he's not complaining. Bree concludes that Conner is a natural for any Combat duties, and will fill in fine for simple Labor duties in the interim.
