Jared Simpson

Jared looks exactly like the kind of middle class kid who stays at home a few years after graduating doing a bunch of nothing, not ready or motivated for the world ahead. You hope he's ready for the world you've all found yourselves in now.
He'll gladly tell you he was the best Uber driver east of Louisville, but you have your doubts.  He works hard enough on the work teams, the kids no weakling.  Still, nobody would accuse him of dedication.

Since the death of his father Jared has been quite angry and protective of his family.  For a time he was vocally aiming to get on the Scavenge teams, hoping to get more exposure to killing zombies.  He seems more than a little jealous of Dink and Kyle in this regard.  To that end, he spent a few weeks coming to Silas's training sessions and even sparred once.  It was a disaster.  He showed no natural aptitiude, and once the training got difficult and embarrasing he stopped coming and has resigned himself to work duty.
