Wulfric Black-Mane
Wulfric Black-Mane (a.k.a. Wulfric The Dark Flash)
Wulfric Black-Mane was raised in the Gungnir Forest in the Land of the Linnorm Kings to be part of the Alpha's Guard in his tribe. He was trained to be an elite warrior among his people to guard his people's leader, Soba Gray-Fang. At the age of 25 he had already served on the Alpha Guard for 2 years. During this time three tribes of the north united to form a single tribe. This peace lasted for one year until a civil war broke out in the new tribe between the Emerald Crown a royalist faction and the Frozen Torch a republican faction. Soba, the alpha of Wulfric's tribe took up the mantle as the leader of the Frozen Torch with Wulfric as the second in command. The war lasted for three years until the Frozen Torch won a string of major battles leading to the capital where the self proclaimed monarch Valgerd Red-Mane was killed in combat signaling the end of the war. Stability was finally established after a few days of combat with the remnants of the Emerald Crown. Unfortunately this stability was short lived, as Soba was assassinated at his coronation as the leader of the newly reformed United Rougarou Nations.
Wulfric could not take the grief of the constant fighting that ensued among his people and left with a small group to form a band of hired blades who would come to be known as The Crimson Wolves. On a mission they had been contracted for, The Crimson Wolves had to travel deep into an ancient underground ruin. Along the way he began seeing visions of the past showing the then city being invaded by a band of dark wizards and a magical treasure locked within a vault. Once the vault had been opened they found it contained a spirit of a dark wizard shade who then merged with Wulfric granting him a long forgotten power. Upon leaving the vault the "researchers" The Crimson Wolves were hired to protect revealed themselves to be a band of Chelaxian treasure hunters who planed to murder Wulfric and his men after the treasure had been found. Wulfric had become furious at this point and discovered his newly found power to turn his rage and hatred into black lightning striking any foes near him, but retaining enough awareness to not harm his allies, this being work of the shade using his hate, rage, and blood lust to guide the magic.
Wulfric received the name The Dark Flash after a series of battles his squad had been contracted to fight in during the Cheliax invasion of the Land of The Linnorm Kings. Wulfric would be seen charging into battle with black lightning swirling around him combined with the speed and ferocity he charged into battle dubbed him as dark force of nature in battle granting him his title of The Dark Flash. Growing eager to get away from the years of war, he and his band traveled to the land of Varisia to set out and explore this wild land.
