Lykos was part of the witchwolf tribe, named Hagmoon, which took part in kidnapping people from villages for their witch leader's magic. Lykos always questioned why they had to do this. Him questioning and protesting against kidnapping and enslaving people had earned him many reprimands, to the point that he was on the verge of being exiled from his tribe. On the last night of his mission, him and his fellow scouts were scooping out a village to take people from, Lykos came across a priest of Cayden Cailean. The priest told him all about the Accidental God and the things he loves, Freedom and the drink. Before he past out from drinking, the priest wrote down how he could become a cleric of Cayden and how to become a pathfinder. The next morning he left the tribe he so hated to be part of something greater.
