Chapter 11 Deep Dive

Outline:

Brandon goes home with Thomas & Brother Christopher
Kitter gives Brandon pay for 4 weeks plus advance on 2 weeks so Rodrick can buy seeds for new season
Kitters Thomas that Rodrick can not argue
Expects to see Brandon in a week
They all earned 226 cirros in a month
They celebrate with lemon barley water (they get lemons from spring market)
Brandon goes back to Kitters
Rodrick stops by in noon with Widow Mulvey's sheep and a single bed frame
Brandon thinks he is dumb
Few days later Rick and Rodrick stop at forge ahead of going south to buy seeds
Mistress Kitter invites them to have lunch
Brandon feels weird sitting at table with Kitter and Rodrick
Rick asks Kitter if Brandon can go to the wedding
No date set yet, because to settle the seeds and sheep and farm but will be in a few weeks time
Brandon is happy until Rodrick asks how he is doing - then he feels guilty remembering how poorly he did in school
Kitter says Brandon is doing well and since Dunstan is limited thinks Brandon & him can do well together. Brandon can marry one of his daughters & grandsons to take over the forge will follow
Brandon realizes he doesn't want to be a blacksmith, wants to be a farmer like his father
Brandon doesn't want to marry one of the Kitter girls because they aren't Mary Sharrow
Rick and Rodrick thank them for the meal and leave
Brandon goes back to work at forge to not have to go back inside
