The Hobsons travel to Pirin for the spring market to sell their goods

Chapter 2 Summary:

• Brandon goes with his father, Rodrick, and brothers, Rick and Thomas, to the spring market in Pirin
• They are selling unprocessed wool and barley water
• In Vilberge, Rodrick brings the cart to get looked at by his friend, Martin
• Rumors of King Roland’s ill health, and the cause, is all anyone can talk about
• In Pirin, they bring the cart to Blackburn Manor
• Brandon and his brothers go to the city and spot a group performing a play about King Ahmenabar and when he found the apple
• Lord Blackburn calls everyone to the center of the city and he reads a decree from Stonehill, the king is injured
• Lord Blackburn orders the market to close for 5 days for prayer and mourning
• Rickard tells Brandon that they’ll lose all of their money
• (not in the story but they stay with Anders while in Vilberge)
