Formik Ironspine

Formik Ironspine is a highly accomplished Dwarven smith living and working in the city of Waterdeep, and is the current Guildmaster of The Most Careful Order of Skilled Smiths and Metalforgers.
Ironspine is a highly respected member of the community and his works have gained him praise even from Open Lord Laeral Silverhand herself.
Under his stewardship the guild has expanded its already wide focus onto wider applications of metalcraft from pitons to ploughshares, and maintains a strenuous competition with The Splendid Order of Armorers, Locksmiths, and Finesmiths specifically in the field of armor-crafting. The order recently collaborated with the latter under commission by Achille De Luca, the famed merchant and auction house proprietor. Securing contracts such as this has only added to Ironspine's reputation as the greatest guildmaster the order has known in its history.
Ironspine also takes a personal interest in the guild's apprentices, taking the time to personally instruct his guildmembers' apprentices whenever time allows. Ironspine's influence has brought the guild into a new age of growth with its guildmembers alone taking on multiple apprentices each year and training them into journeyman smiths within a span of 6 years or so under Ironspine's steady hand.

Description

Formik is a stout and stocky fellow, his skin is tanned and marred with the occasional burn and scald mark from his veritable lifetime of experience as a smith, he bears a head of short blondish-grey hair and a beard that comes down to below his collarbone, the bristles of which are gathered into two braids held together with a set of inscribed iron beard rings.
