Appearance

The Obsidian waves is a massive scale emergence that appeared in the Avernian wastes in -350 DR. Due to the passage of time most of the emergence has since been buried underneath the sands of wastes, leaving only the largest structures visible over the ruined wastelands.

The Obsidian waves got its name from the massive crystaline structures within its core that seemed to radiate from its center. Formed like tsunami like waves, cascading out from the center of the region. Each of the waves are created out of a strange purple and blue crystal. In places the crystals water reaches as high as 2 Miles into the air, creating large darkspots in the uneven terrain that permiates this place. The Topology of the region is largely irregular with great valleys next to large mountains, as if formed through a sea frozen in a storm.

Emergence

The Obsidian waves, appeared in the Avernian wastes in -350 DR, as a result of the great cataclysm of Karsus's Folly. Where the great arcanist wrestled control of the weave from Mystryl resulting in the death of the goddess. The Immense energy that arose from the spell was enough to rock the narrow sea and the shattering of the weave shortly after broke very bounds of reality. Crystallising the sea instantly as well as causing a mass emergence within Avernus. Because of the strong Far realm energies that lurk within the structure of the crystal the Obsidian waves is a place that is for the most part avoided by most devils. Save for those of cania who water at the thought of such a truly awe inspiring display of magical might.

Tsunami Temple

Appearance

The Sunken Temple is a large scaled temple, partially embeded into the side of a massive wave of crystal. Closer investigation reveals that the crystals that envelop the structure seem to have done so very suddenly. With it taking the form of waves crashing down onto the temple itself before crystallising in place.

The Temple itself appears as if it is Netheresian origin. Large built columns of stone and murals depicting various Arcanists and magical artifacts. The temple itself appears to be mostly emptied, large sections of walls and floor have been dug up and grafitti written in infernal have been strewn across the temple. Pots smashed and no valuable item remains unscavanged.

The Sunken chamber

Within the chamber there is a section of crystal exposed as it was flooding in through the window. The energies of the far realm is strong here, as it has been largely untouched due to the fear of retaliation. the abandoned chamber is an anchient workshop that once worked on all manner of magical equipment. Creatures within can feel the pull of the far realm in a palpable sense. A anchient jewel, constructed to accompany advanced transportation methods lies here. The corruptive energy of the far realm has touched it.

Creations End

Appearance

Within the center of the Obsidian Waves, lies a singular structure larger than the rest. Dubbed Creations end, this massive 5 mile tower of crystal reaches into the clouds above, its agressive spiked form threatening those below it.
