Chapter 4: All the Magister's Men | Session XVIII: The Tinkerer's Hall - Report
General Summary
Awakened by Janica and Tommy One-Eye pouring over plans of the Magister's Hall, the Dungoen Bois are quickly informed that the leader of Bridgetown, Magister Ferdinand the Clever, has been out of the public eye largely since the swamp folk refugees first began being interned in the Isles. Janica suggests that the Magister might be compromised, and that if he can be saved or reasoned with, he could be the ally they need to turn the tide against Desmond's Honor Guard and free those trapped in the Isles. Janica reveals that an old tunnel may lead from outside the Magister's Compound into his central hall, and that they could use that to infiltrate the estate. Mikhail then also stirs and offers his assistance as well.
Additionally, Janica reveals an unfortunate truth: it was her who brought Desmond to Bridgetown, seeking to usurp the power of the guard by installing a despot with links to the criminal underground. She offers her help, personally, in disposing of him.
The party and their new comrades travel to the outskirts of the Magister's Compound in College Town. Old Town burns behind them.
They arrive in an old warehouse outside of the compound and begin the infiltration. Tommy and Mikhail elect to cause a distraction outside, hoping to draw as many of the Honor Guard away from the main hall. The Dungeon Bois and Janica trudge through a subterranean hall, coming out in the servants quarters in the corner of the estate.
Belladonna knocks out a lone servant, and the group begins their foray into the lavish appointments of Magister Ferdinand. They avoid several Honor Guard, and overhear two talking about Desmond being in the top floor. After some time, the guards here a disturbance in the courtyard, and rush out. The party quickly scours the hall and heads upstairs.
In the top of the Hall is the Tinkerer's Lab, where much of Ferdinand's research and inventions reside. The party discovers Sir Desmond and two lieutenants discussing something in the corner of the room. Attempting to surprise them, the party takes up positions for an ambush and sets upon Desmond and his compatriots. The parties do vicious battle, as Desmond launches multiple burning smites and Brachii parries and slashes. Leslie casts an ice storm in the center of the room using the bones of Ostawoth, shattering the glass floor which descends to the first floor. Scratch, Belladonna, and Janica provide support and ranged assistance.
In a show of incredible strength, Brachii grapples and tosses Desmond through the shattered floor, causing Desmond to take tremendous damage. Leslie then Feather Falls Brachii, who finishes Desmond off after softly alighting to the floor. The Dungeon Bois do away with the rest of the Honor Guard, and, standing among the blood and corpses, contemplates what to do.

Here's what happened last time on Dungeon Bois: Voyage of the Damned:
The party wakes in the safety of Janica's safe house, and, with the Guild Leader's help, hatch a plan to rescue Magister Ferdinand and convince him to turn the Loyal Guard against Desmond's Honor Guard and free those interned in the Isles.
The Dungeon Bois, Janica, Tommy One-Eye, and Mikhail Edgewood sneak towards the Magister's Compound. While Tommy and Mikhail cause a distraction on the outskirts of the compound, Janica and the party sneak into the Magister's Hall.
After sneaking through the estate, the party finds Sir Desmond and his lieutenants. After valiant battle, Brachii lifts and drops Sir Desmond down several levels, and finishes him on the ground.
