Dwarven Clans

The dwarven clans are spread across the continent of sinistria, and can often be identified by their distinctive clan tattoos. These tattooed symbols are not obligatory but many choose to get them as a celebration of their heritage.   The Redaxes - A scattered and depleted clan, few of the Redaxes remain on Sinistria, and those who do travel the wilds of the continent with no fixed abode, seeking temporary refuge and work as mercenaries. A once great house, their ancestral home was the dwarven keep of Rodfort, before it was invaded by the Spitzevolke. They suffered further losses during the Koloss conflict, and their clan never quite recovered.   The Sorkyst (Meaning south coast) - these dwarves reside in Havnberg. They also share antecedents with the Wasafiri people of Varmhalvoy.   The Earthwrought / Jordsmidd - these dwarves are scattered across varied mines and settlements throughout the Ferostran Vales, including in Longshaft mine in Halbbrucke.   The Vakter - (guards). These dwarfs inhabit the Dwarven hold of Zwergenbereich, and it's associated islands. They are a seafaring people and a member of the Council at Renbranimir.   The Nordfødt - The Nordfødt are based in the Dwarven stronghold of Nordborg, north of Jergen. They had previously inhabited the region of Jergen until The Spitzevolke invasion forced them back into their island citadel.   The Borgetemmer - this is a clan of seafaring dwarves who help the other clans maintain their connection across the continent. They facilitate trade between the dwarven nations and are the glue that hold the disparate dwarven clans together. They are mostly traders, and often interface between dwarven clans and other nations as intermediaries. They are known as honest and trustworthy, and are welcomed among the other dwarven clans. Rarely going inland, they spend most of their lives at sea, in their island home of HOME, or at renbranimir, where they are represented on the council there.
