Varmbad

Varmbad is an independent country, made up on a number of goliath mountain settlements surrounding the hot-spring lake of Varmbad. It features some of the tallest mountains in Sinistria and coldest conditions, which is no cause for concern for it's goliath inhabitants, but the Lake Varmbad remains wonderfully warm.
The Goliaths of Varmbad enjoy nothing more than bathing in the lake's waters, and the Varmbad baths, partitions of the shallow areas of the lake separated by stone emplacements and seats, are centres of culture, discussion, and meeting of import.
The goliaths live in the mountains surrounding the lake, and descend each day via elevators. Some homes, those low enough from the ground and near deep enough water, have balconies that are specifically designed for their residents to dive in rather than trouble with using elevators or climbing stairs.
The shores of the lake are where the majority of commerce occurs, whether it be shops and bars cut into the very walls of the mountain, or wider shore areas where there are town squares where entertainment occurs.
Warmbad is incredibly hard to reach, with hard borders with the lawless region of Jergen Hubwards, the largely uninhabited Barrenlands to the Widdershins, and The Spitzevolke Republic to the Turnwise and South.
In spite of this, Varmbad Goliaths are rather gracious hosts, though cautious when dealing with humans from the Spitzevolke republic due to historic tensions between the two nations.
