Deamonward glyphs

Deamonward glyphs are special glyphs found on Algoria . They supposedly have the power to ward off deamons. Because not very many of The People of Algoria are superstitious, people who make the glyphs are uncommon, but the glyphs are made a lot by them, meaning they are fairly common. weirdly, it does not seem that close to as many are bought as the number found. not very many people but there buyrers and sellers know what they mean.

Significance

The old ones are proven to ward off deamons. the new ones do almost nothing.

Appearance

There are two kinds of deamongard glyphs, old and new. The old ones seem to be more effective, and were the first kind to be used. New deamonguard glyphs are less effective.
Old Deamongaurd glyphs use strange runes. There are 65 different rune types on the common set of runes, each found in a certain combination. There are 13 different combinations. Three of the runes are the same in each combination, but the second to last has three types, which seem to correspond with importance.
New deamongaurd glyphs are less effective. They use about 150 different symbols, in 14 sets.

History

A few years after people started living on Algoria , these glyphs started being sold. Very few bought them. Then, an exploration party sent out from the town was attacked by deamons. The only two survivors were both wearing deamongaurd glyphs. Not only that, but they were never even attacked. After this, more people started buying deamongaurd glyphs. They proved effective more times. After this, they seemed to lose some effectiveness, but were still common.
